Friday Morning Meetings

Kiwanis is Community Service

Kiwanis clubs accomplish their goals through sponsorship of a wide range of projects. Each club selects its projects based on the particular needs of their individual community. Projects vary from one club to another. One of the main Kiwanis mottoes is, "Serving the Children."

Kiwanis International is an association of individual clubs, with each club operating autonomously. Membership is extremely important to us, and we are always eager to hear from individuals interested in our mission and our Kiwanis Club's role in the community. Kiwanians are professional and business leaders and everyday people who take an active role in their community while greatly enriching their personal and professional lives.

Membership in a Kiwanis Club offers a number of benefits, including:
Effecting change within the community.
Advancing new contacts and friendships.
Developing leadership skills.
Gaining an understanding of and having an impact on local, national and international humanitarian issues.

THE OBJECTS OF KIWANIS
To give primacy to the human and spiritual rather than to the material values of life.

To encourage the daily living of the Golden Rule in all human relationships.

To promote the adoption and application of higher social, business, and professional standards.

To develop, by precept and example, a more intelligent, aggressive, and serviceable citizenship.

To provide, through Kiwanis Clubs, a practical means to form enduring friendships, to render altruistic service, and to build better communities.

To cooperate in creating and maintaining that sound public opinion and high idealism which make possible the increase of righteousness, justice, patriotism, and good will.
