Projects & Fundraisers
WALNUT VALLEY KIWANIS has numerous projects and fundraisers that have been developed over the years, and continue to change along with the changes in the community and in the membership of the club.
In order to pay for these and our many other charitable works, we hold various fundraising events, and may solicit funds for advertising on our various events programs.
Please note that 100% of all service project income is used for funding our charitable works. Service project/public fundraising income must be used solely for that purpose. No public monies can be used for the administration of the Kiwanis Club.
We are a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that may accept tax deductible contributions from individuals and corporations.

Diamond Bar Winterfest on January 21, 2017. DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER THIS WAS CANCELLED. We will be serving tamales, nachos, and breakfast burritos along with bottled water. We need to be at Pantera Park at 7:00 a.m. that morning and be ready to serve at 8:30 a.m. The event will end at 3:00 p.m.
This year's Holiday Food Distribution to needy families: On December 16, 2016 the collected (by Walnut HS Key Club) food cans were sorted, and the distribution was held on Saturday, December 17, at Walnut High School stadium. This year, because the date is more than a week prior to Christmas, we included a canned ham, rather than a frozen turkey. To recap the pertinent facts: Cans were collected, cans were sorted, cans and hams and veggies were packed and distributed again this year through the efforts of the Key Club from Walnut High School alongside our participating Kiwanis members. Boxes of canned goods with wet bottoms caused by the rain this week did nothing to prevent another successful event. Boxes were retaped and repacked and life moved on. Every last ham and can were distributed – nothing left over this year for distribution elsewhere. We did feed 100 families.
We served PANCAKE BREAKFAST at RELAY FOR LIFE SUNDAY MORNING JUNE 26 at SUZANNE MIDDLE SCHOOL
We served TACOS, BEANS, WATER, SODAS at DIAMOND BAR CONCERT IN THE PARK WEDNESDAY, JUNE 29, 2016
We served ELOTE AND WATER at DIAMOND BAR FOURTH OF JULY CELEBRATION at DIAMOND BAR HIGH SCHOOL (that is on July 4th!)
